Embarking on a weight loss journey is a challenge that very few people are often willing to take. Several people are often intimidated because weight loss requires a fair amount of exercise, a strict diet, and a complete lifestyle change. These factors may seem overwhelming, and you may be tempted to quit even before starting. What you should know, however, is that weight loss is not as challenging as it may seem. Several tips can help you lose more than 50 pounds within a relatively short period.

Exercise

Over the years, exercise has remained one of the most popular ways of cutting down on weight fast. Besides the fact that you can do it with or without any equipment, you can also engage in exercise just about anywhere you are. The logic behind weight loss is creating a calorie deficit in the body. Simply put, you need to burn more calories than you consume. Exercise has proven to be a great way of doing just that. There are several physical workouts that you can engage in to lose 50+ pounds over a short period successfully. It is, however, noteworthy that these exercises will get you out of your comfort zone.

One of the most comfortable and most effective workouts you can engage in to burn calories is skipping rope. The exercise is a fantastic fat burner that will considerably raise your caloric output and help you shed off weight. It is also relatively simple, and all you need is a skipping rope. The amount of calories burnt over ten minutes of skipping is equivalent to that burnt over an 8-minute mile run.

Another exercise that you should try in order to realize your weight loss goals is swimming. It is a low impact great result exercise that will help you lose weight pretty fast.

If you do not have much time to spare for exercise, you can take your weight loss endeavors to the gym. Take your run on a treadmill, use the multi-gym or any other equipment you can handle there. Lifting weight may also be a great way of reaching out to your weight loss goals.

Diet

Your diet plays a crucial role in your weight, and you can use this to your advantage. In order to lose more than 50 pounds:

  1. Adopt a diet that reduces the number of calories and fats you consume.
  2. Avoid junk food and other fatty foodstuffs.
  3. Bring more roughage into your diet and eat more fruits.

It is recommendable to evenly spread your meals throughout the day and ensuring that you do not skip meals. Drinking holy basil tea is more benefit for weight loss.

Hydrate

Staying hydrated is another tip that can help you lose more than 50 pounds. Rather than the traditional eight glasses that sum up to half a gallon, you should raise your water intake to about a gallon or more of water per day. Take more water while exercising, and after every meal. While you may not see the connection between water and weight loss, it has been proven that water can help you lose weight.

One way proper hydration helps you lose weight is by raising your metabolism. With the rates of metabolism high, there will also be an increase in the number of calories burnt, which will, in turn, help you lose weight. Staying hydrated also helps you lose weight by getting you to heed your hunger cues. The signs of hunger and those of dehydration are almost the same. You may be tempted to eat, thinking you are hungry while you are just dehydrated in the real sense. Being hydrated will thus keep you from eating unless you are hungry. This, in turn, reduces the amounts of your calorie intake.

Losing weight has quite a lot to do with energy levels. High energy levels have often been associated with quick weight loss. When you are high on energy, you will be crushing workouts, your cravings will be slashed considerably, and you will be less sedentary. Water raises energy, and as you can see, the high energy levels will help you lose weight fast.

Drinks such as soda and alcohol are pretty fattening. Drinking lots of water is one way of limiting the amount of these drinks you consume. Hence, you will lose weight fast when you drink water as it keeps you from drinking the other stuff.

Too much water also has its downsides. You may occasionally have fatigued taste buds. If, unfortunately, you do, the best way to get out of it is by drinking healthier alternatives such as green tea or detox water.

Have a Good Sleep

As awkward as mentioning sleep as a tip to lose more than 50 pounds fast may seem, it is not. Having a good sleep, usually between 7 and 8 hours each day, is a simple and effective way of working towards your weight loss goals. This is why:

When the body is deprived of sleep, it is programmed to release certain hormones that may increase hunger. This makes it difficult for you to determine when you have had enough or when you are satiated. This will make you eat more than necessary and thus consume more calories. If you have enough sleep, these hormones are not released, and you only consume a limited amount of calories, which will help your weight loss endeavors.

Stress hormones are also released when the body is deprived of sleep. These hormones facilitate the storage of fats, which in turn makes losing weight quite a challenge. However, sleeping well will prevent the release of these hormones and thereby bar the release of the stress hormones.

If you follow these tips well, you will lose 50+ pounds in no time. All it takes is the conviction that you can do it and take the first step. The rest will follow, and you will be smiling as the figures on the scale go down.
